How to Turn On Stealth Mode

Click the Eye Icon
In the desktop app's title bar, look for the eye icon in the top-right corner. Click it once to enable stealth mode. Click again to disable.
Or Use the Keyboard Shortcut
Toggle stealth mode instantly without touching the mouse. Works from both the main view and compact view.
How You Know It's Working
When stealth mode is active, you'll see these visual indicators:
Required for Zoom users
Zoom's default screen-sharing method ignores macOS content protection, which can cause Interview Sidekick to still appear in your shared screen. You only need to enable this setting once:
- Open the Zoom desktop app and go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Click Share screen in the left sidebar, then click Advanced.
- Under Screen capture mode, choose "Advanced capture with window filtering".
Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex respect Stealth Mode out of the box — no extra setup needed.
Pro Tip
Enable stealth mode before joining your interview call and sharing your screen. This ensures the app is already hidden when your interviewer first sees your screen. You can also use the compact view for a smaller, floating overlay that stays on top of your other windows.

Invisible on Screen Share
Screen share and recording software cannot capture Interview Sidekick. Share your screen on Zoom, Meet, or Teams — your interviewer only sees what you want them to see.
Nowhere on Your Dock
The app doesn't appear in your dock, taskbar, or Alt-Tab/Cmd-Tab switcher. No trace anywhere on your system while stealth mode is active.
